Cricket is not just a sport in India—it’s a shared emotion, a national celebration, and a dream that beats in the hearts of millions. Across towns and villages, young talents dream of wearing the national jersey and making their families and community proud.
To bring these dreams closer to reality, Learning Cricket Academy was founded in 2012 in Khagaria, Bihar. Situated within the Koshi College Campus at the district headquarters, the academy is a beacon of hope for aspiring cricketers from the region.
Khagaria is a unique district cradled by seven rivers—Ganga, Kamla Balan, Koshi, Budhi Gandak, Karha, Kali Koshi, and Bagmati. Despite a strong passion for the sport, local youth once faced the challenge of traveling far for professional training. This meant that only a few could afford the opportunity, leaving many talented players behind.
Understanding this gap, senior district cricketer MR. KARAMVIR KUMAR took the initiative to establish the academy. The foundation was inaugurated by Sadanand Prasad, former senior cricketer and secretary of the Khagaria District Cricket Association.
Since its inception, Learning Cricket Academy has trained and transformed numerous young athletes who have gone on to represent Bihar at various prestigious levels:
Many of our players have also showcased their talent in university-level tournaments:
Their consistent performance reflects the high-quality training and mentorship provided at the academy.
At Learning Cricket Academy, our mission is to empower rural talent, provide accessible cricket training, and build a disciplined and competitive sports culture in Khagaria. We aim to be the stepping stone for every young cricketer aspiring to play for the state and, eventually, for the country.
